Artist's Comments

A lithograph I did in school. This type of printmaking is pretty difficult considering all the chemical processes you have to go through for the block. Then when you draw the image it's with a grease pencil that you can not erase. So, you have to go with what you have, mistakes or not.:) Then you continue on with printing as many pieces as the image can handle.

Enjoy, and if you ever get a chance to do a lithograph. Do it, there's nothing like it.

this is really good what goes into doing a lithograph

This is the best way for me to explain it. [link]

Thanks for the :+fav:!

I never did a lithography and I suddenly want to make one because the whole process looks very interesting :) You were able to master it just fine: I bet the elephant's "wrinkles" were a bit tough to handle ;)

Yes, you just can't draw well or shade with a grease pencil. They are sticky and not smooth in the least. So, it's pretty difficult for sure.:) But yes, the process is very interesting. I wish I could do them on my own.

This is very good, I love elephants, they're awful hard to draw though.

Well, generally it wouldn't be that hard for me, but in this form it is hard yes.:)
